Release, and press "Freezer" repeatedly (three times for my model) until it displays "rd" (rear defrost). This manually activates the rear defroster, and your fridge will beep annoyingly for awhile (about 27 minutes on my fridge). I usually repeat this process 4-6 times in a row, setting my phone timer for 27 minutes to keep reminding me to go and restart it. This fix usually lasts me a couple of weeks. If you remember to do it frequently, on a preventative basis--say, before going to work or to bed, you may stay ahead of the problem.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07276746953935588392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1692644331416177254.post-45746581301507392732020-03-18T05:53:01.962-07:002020-03-18T05:53:01.962-07:00Good post regarding noise in refrigerator. After the third defrosting I re-leveled the fridge so the front is slightly higher than the back. Some people said that this helps keep the front doors closed tighter. I also repaired some foam around the back cover, and moved the white sensor to the other coolant line. But once again I just had to defrost the fridge for a fourth time. I noticed that the front door seal is cracked where the doors come together, so I will repair that seal the best I can in hopes that this will correct the issue. My thought is that too much moisture is getting into the fridge. The differences, for me, were related to the model.
My model was a new (less than 2 years old) counter depth. There were three screws...two at the bottom and one in the center. The panel was really frozen in, as was the screw in the center of the panel. Had to wait until it thawed. Then...the panel did not come out when pulling down; rather it came straight out, only after considerable time thawing. Once out, the ice was really thick and all over the coils. Used a hair dryer to quickly melt the ice. Once the ice was melted and I dried the whole area, I put the panel back in place...no problem...and screwed it in.
The fridge started right back up and is working fine.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13100649389880017944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1692644331416177254.post-76915421248239435242017-10-10T21:10:16.975-07:002017-10-10T21:10:16.975-07:00Mine was doing the same thing. The technician replaced the entire panel that includes the fan and two plugs. I am not sure if the sensor is on the panel or not. I forgot to check. The unit was unplugged, the top doors opened (my unit is top french door, middle drawer, and freezer bottom drawer) to defrost overnight. Because of this I couldn't tell you if there was any frost build up or not, however I did not notice any water behind the humidity trays.

After the panel and fan was replaced the sounds came back in a couple days. So the bottom line is I don't know what it is. From reading these helpful comments. I open 1 door and use a magnet to keep the fan going so I can pin point where exactly its coming from.

I forgot to mention I had the technician pull out the ice tray and silicon the left bottom seam so that warmer air from the top fridge doesn't flow in to create water condensation that would freeze in the ice cube environment. I haven't checked the drain but I don't think its a frost issues since the fridge was defrosted and panel, fan changed but sound came back quite quickly in 1-2 days.

Hope you can use this information.DYhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07048034813766881763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1692644331416177254.post-26997844696929924162017-03-06T15:33:06.022-08:002017-03-06T15:33:06.022-08:00I to have the french door with icemaker and water ...I to have the french door with icemaker and water filter i have all the screws off and able to lift the unit away but it's now stuck at the top by the twin cooling unit, I have taken a hair dryer to it and still won't budge.
